Wish List for the week!

Hey guys,

So I have just moved back down to uni so I am officially writing to you from my flat in London and I have to say the weather here is no better than back at home. I swear I will have to swim to uni tomorrow if the rain doesn't stop. Anyways I have been rather ill this week hence no outfit posts as I didn't think you guys would want to see my poorly face, so instead here are a few cheeky items that I am wishing were in my wardrobe...

Love at first sight!

Hello everyone,

Now I promise this will be my last post for a while where I babble on about how much I love vintage because I am sure you are getting sick of it already. I just thought I would show you two amazing pieces that arrived in the post for me this morning, I found them on Asos marketplace, from a very cute little boutique called SusieTuesday (which can be found here susietuesday) . I was so excited when I saw it had arrived and possibly a little nervous as you never know quite how online vintage pieces will look on you, however, that didn't stop me ripping the parcel to shreds to get to the yummy goodies inside.

Well here is my first piece, it is a vintage 60's oversized clashing print top that I am absolutely in love with. The clashing prints work really well together (further down there is a close up of the pattern) and I love how slouchy and comfy it is, it is perfect for my laid back style.

Next, in my goody bag was this over sized floral print pastel blouse. When I first saw this I actually thought you could unbutton it all the way, but it is actually more like a jumper as only the first two buttons undo. However, this was not a turn off, if anything it made it more unusual and made me like it more. I remember the look on my Mum's face when I first pulled it out, as she wondered why I would want to where something my Nan would have worn. However, I think we can safely say she was presently surprised once it was styled up and I think it got the seal of approval.

Viva la Vintage

Hello everyone,

So today I felt inspired to bring out some of my old vintage stuff and the first thing that caught by eye was my Aztec cardigan. I love Aztec print at the moment and the pastel colours in the cardigan are amazing. It was just about warm enough today to pair it with my denim shorts but not quite warm enough to brave them without tights. So anyway here's what I managed to put together...

                                  

I also just wanted to show you guys a close up of the shorts because I think they are just unique enough for my liking without being too loud and striking because I didn't want them to over power my cardigan. I love the black paint that's splattered across them, might actually try that out as a DIY soon on an old pair that needs a new lease of life.

An here's a close up of the cardigan pattern. I like how the colours all compliment each other and the detail within the pattern is breath taking...love love love this cardigan. I think it is an essential for those cool summer evening!

Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

Hello everyone,

Sorry again for the lack of posts, exams are looming and so my desk in my room has unfortunately become my new best friend, cannot wait till the 28th May when I can regain my freedom. Anyway, first off let me just say a big Happy Birthday to my wonderful Dad! I have to say that his new jacket from my Mum is the coolest thing I have seen in a while, it actually glows in the dark/sunlight! Might try and sneakily steal it for my next post. Well any who I thought since the sun has finally come back out (hopefully we have seen the last of the snow and hail!) I would take the opportunity to try on my new shoes and Topshop jumper. I have been so excited to share these shoes with you all.

The jumper is actually so delicate that I've been too scared to take it out of the wardrobe because my dog Jarvis  doesn't seem to understand the concept of 'down' and sure enough when I walked down stairs Jarvis jumped up and pulled out some of the threads...cry :( so as we speak my mum is busy fixing it.

                 

I picked these shoes up at the weekend and I absolutely love them, I haven't taken them off since, if I could sleep in them I would. They have the perfect heel height for me as I'm 5' 8" and slightly conscious of towering over my parents and boyfriend. They go perfectly with leggings and skinny jeans and when we finally do get our summer weather I think they will look great with my denim shorts too.
