Fix up look sharp

Dress - Reworked vintage from Urban Outfitters
Belt - Asos
Boots - River Island
Necklace - Vintage

Nothing can beat a good bit of tartan, my boyfriend's has Scottish roots so I guess I have an excuse for my obsession with this amazing fabric. If I could where tartan day in day out I would, and I do give it a pretty good try! It's one of the only prints that actually makes my pale skin look some what attractive.

Also since working I have now discovered my love of collared clothing, whether it is jumpers, t-shirts or dresses, you name it if it has a collar I will wear it. I always thought that collared items didn't suit me, but since having to wear them for work I have grown to love and adore them. I guess it's my geeky side being drawn to them.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend, needless to say work at 9am this morning was a bit of a shocker!

Fix up, look sharp.

Shirt - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
Necklace - River Island
Boots - Urban Outfitters
Just a quick post today, as I am extremely tired and I'm suffering from my second cold in two weeks! It actually seems like I have had more colds since working than I did throughout my whole uni life!

This outfit post was basically to show you my new shirt that I actually bought to wear to work but it turned out that I much preferred it as a casual top, it's weird how my style has changed since working, I think I definitely dress smarter on the weekend than I used to, I mean I wear trousers rather than jeans at the weekend...what is happening to me?! The main reason I love this shirt is the contrast in patterns, all my favourite prints are in one. You have checkered, stripes and polka dots so what's not to love!

What do you all think to my outfit choice?

Brick Lane Fun

Jumper - Topshop
Treggings - Mango
Faux Fur Gilet - Topshop
Boots - Topshop
Cross Necklace - Topshop
Bag - River Island

Hello Everyone...

Well my lazy Sunday afternoon was mainly spent wandering around the markets on Brick Lane. What I love about this place is that there is so much going on you don't even have to buy anything to have fun, for instance, in the picture above there was a man playing 4 games of chess at the same time and he was winning in all of them, it kept me entertained for at least half an hour! But of course it was lunch time when I arrived and so I could hardly say no to a pulled pork bap and a few other treats.

What I also love about Brick Lane is the amount of street art, the walls don't just have your average graffiti instead there are pieces of art that look like they must have taken days to finish, such as the head hog painting above. I decided that I would use another piece of graffiti as my backdrop as I thought you are all probably getting bored of seeing my living room wall. So here is what I wore to Brick Lane. It was a little bit chilly so I thought that I would layer slightly rather than putting on a full winter coat, as I'm still slightly in denial that we actually have to start wearing coats again. I decided I would layer my fur gilet over my ombre knitted jumper and then to make the whole outfit a little less bulky I then paired it with my skinny treggings, then hey presto I was ready to fit in with the Shoredicth crowd.

Have any of you been to Brick Lane, did you manage to grab any bargains?

Hey everyone! Gosh doesn't LFW look amazing, the Ashish show looked incredible. I wish I could have gone but unfortunately I'm all work and no play at the moment. Ah well I guess there's always next year (sigh).

Thankfully though, this weekend I found a bit of spare time to indulge in a little retail therapy as I had a little bit of birthday money to play with. I will upload a haul post shortly but I just wanted to show you all this dress from Urban Outfitters that I purchased. The colour caught might eye straight away and the pattern is stunning, so stunning in fact that as you can see I didn't leave the shop without it. I had to wear a belt with it because unfortunately they didn't have my size and so I had to buy the size up, but I quite like the baggy look with a sinched in waist. I then paired it with my now 'standard' patent boots and some of my favourite gems.

Have any of you been to LFW? If so I am very jealous!

Polka Dot

Hey guys...

So I have completed my first proper working week and I have to say I am exhausted, my Friday night mainly consisted of me falling asleep on the tube and then getting into bed by 10pm (which in my books is damn early to be in bed on a Friday night)! I guess it is just going to take some time for my body to get used to the early morning starts.

Today I decided I was going to have a chill day and just do a bit of blogging and I'm hoping to do a bit of baking later with some new cool cooking gear my Mum & Dad bought as a flat warming prezzy, if it's successful I could even put it on my blog. So anyway, enough of my gibber gabber and on with the post.

I have actually worn these polka dot trousers quite a lot to work, as they are smart but I can still look unique rather than too business like, like everyone else (I'm not one to try and blend in :) ) but today I decided I would give them a more casual feel and so I paired them with my new black crop top and my flat-form boots.

Do any of you love wearing polka dots to stand out?

Scorpio Princess

Hello again...

Gosh hasn't the temperature dropped today, there was me thinking I could now stop wearing my thick coats and opt for a slightly lighter leather jacket..but oh no.. the English weather has other ideas!

So these snaps were taken very quickly as the bf and I ran out to get some supplies shortly before we dived back into the flat to hibernate for the rest of the day. I decided to wear by scorpio-rising dress from urban outfitters, which I have loved from the very first moment I laid my eyes on it. It has such a lovely ethnic print which I think goes really well with the necklace I got of my brother for Xmas. I then paired it with my faithful grey skinny jeans, they are great because they are so skinny they look like leggings and so I can get away with wearing them under dresses. And as I already mentioned I made the mistake of wearing my leather jacket instead of something slightly warmer...but hey we are always sacrificing for fashion.

Jeans - 7forallmankind

Necklace - Gift (however I know it can be found in Topshop)

Have any of you braved the cold? Or are you all like me snuggled up in the house with a cuppa and a blanket?

Galaxy Print

Hey everyone...

So I have been saving for this dress for a while now. Ever since I saw it on UO I knew that I couldn't live without it in my wardrobe. This is actually the first piece of galaxy print I own. I know shocker, especially considering galaxy print has been a big hit for so long now.

I was a little apprehensive about the length because being tall all dresses at the moment seem to be a bit on the short side. But it turned out ok although I do think most of the time I will be wearing leggings, especially if I need to do any bending!

I decided to pair this dress with my Dad's (a.k.a now mine) bowler hat and distressed working boots. I am such a MASSIVE fan of bowler hats at the moment, if I could I would own one in every colour imaginable. Also my Mum found this really cute gold vintage necklace in one of our many junk boxes, she decided to save it from one of the many charity shops our things go to and as it turned out it came in very handy, I thought it worked perfectly with all the colours of the dress.

Hat - Dads
Boots - River Island

I especially love the back of the dress, it kind of reminds me of ballerina dresses.

Necklace - Vintage

Middle ring - Topshop
Thumb ring - small shop in Italy

So what do you guys think to galaxy print?

Packing for holidays and trying on some clothes at the same time

Hey guys,

I'm afraid this will be my last post for a couple of weeks as I am off on my little Europe adventure tomorrow, but don't you all worry as soon as I am back I will have tonnes of photos and outfit pictures to post.

Today I have been busy packing and as you do you have to try on every outfit you might be wearing to make sure it is acceptable and they have to be the right ones been as you are slightly limited by the 20kg weight you can carry on the plane...damn you ryan air for limiting my outfit choices! Anyway, I finally decided on the select few and the outfit pictured below has got to be one of my top 5.

What do you all think? I decided to layer my crop top over the dress as I am still not confident enough to flash my stomach, I am sure I will try and brave it at some point but for now I thought this was quite an inventive way to use it. The bag pictured is also my FIRST EVER river island bag, I know quite unbelievable considering how good the quality and price tag is. Let's just say this will definitely not be the last bag I buy from them.

Dress - Topshop
Crop top - Topshop
Bag - River Island
Shoes - Office

Necklace - Topshop sale

I hope you all have some fun filled weeks while I am away. I look forward to sharing with you all my pictures and memories when I am back and hopefully I may have a slight tan in some of those photos too. Well a girl can dream anyway.

Ciao for now :)

Love
