THE BOYFRIEND SHIRT

Leather Jacket - ASOS
Shirt - Whistles
Jeans - ASOS
Shoes - Whistles
Bag - Ted Baker

You may or may not have noticed but the quality of the pictures in the post are (I would say anyway) a lot better than in my previous posts. A big thank you for that goes to my new Olympus Pen EPL7 and the 45mm lens. I have never been a person to fall in love with gadgets but this camera is definitely my latest obsession and has transformed blogging on the go for me. The only thing I need to master now is a full outfit shot with the 45mm lens to achieve a blurry background, hopefully next week's post I will have achieved it! It anyone has any pointers please let me know.

These pictures were taken the day after my first 10k race ever, I am pleased to say I made it all the way to the end of the race in one piece and didn't walk once, I promise. I just wanted to share with you all my latest investment this Whistles boyfriend shirt, it has such a slouchy but perfectly tailored fit that I fell in love with it instantly, as it hung at the back of the shop calling my name. It is perfect for work with a pair of black skinny jeans and heels but you can also dress it down with ripped jeans and trainers as above.

LAYERS & LAYERS & MORE LAYERS...

Jacket - Asos
Jumper - Vintage
Cardigan - AllSaints
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Topshop
Bag - Ted Baker
Scarf - Topshop
Bonjour, so as you may have guessed I am having a quiet Saturday night in!

The other half and I spent most of the day wondering around the amazingly graffiti-ed little streets of Shoreditch looking for some cute antiques for our new pad which we are due to hopefully move into in the next coming months. That's right I'm finally moving! After running out of space for all our stuff in our small one bed, we are hopefully due to move in the next couple of months, and I can't wait! And it's safe to say this excitement is manifesting itself on my Pinterest page, with rustic home interior pins becoming a very regular occurrence.

Now on to the important part of this post and not my ramblings. The outfit. So today was rediculously chilly, which meant one thing when it came to an outfit choice. Layers.

In today's outfit I am actually wearing not 2 but 4 layers; a vest top, light jumper, cardigan and then a leather jacket. And this still didn't stop the cold. My favourite piece within this ensemble is definitely my AllSaints cardigan, I have had it for 3 years now and it's still going strong. You can actually clip it at the front, giving it a nice drape effect, so very versatile.

How are you all managing to stay stylish but battle the cold?

SUNDAY BLUEZ

Jacket - Asos
Sweat - French Connection
Skirt - Asos
Necklace - Accessorize
Boots - Ella Cru

Another weekend over....how time flies when you want to keep having fun!

I received the skirt pictured above from my Ma and Pa for Christmas, as a new addition to my work wardrobe. I get a bit bored of wearing black everyday in the Offuce, even though it is my favourite colour and the most flattering, however, some colleagues are starting to think I am a bit of an emo, so I am making a conscious effort to add in a few splashes of colour.

Normally at work I would pair this skirt with a black sweatshirt to smarten it up, but for the weakened I thought I could add a casual touch with my trusty French Connection sweat. The perfect smart/cool ensemble.

Do any of you have an item of clothing you like to wear to work and out at the weekend?

Fix up look sharp

Dress - Reworked vintage from Urban Outfitters
Belt - Asos
Boots - River Island
Necklace - Vintage

Nothing can beat a good bit of tartan, my boyfriend's has Scottish roots so I guess I have an excuse for my obsession with this amazing fabric. If I could where tartan day in day out I would, and I do give it a pretty good try! It's one of the only prints that actually makes my pale skin look some what attractive.

Also since working I have now discovered my love of collared clothing, whether it is jumpers, t-shirts or dresses, you name it if it has a collar I will wear it. I always thought that collared items didn't suit me, but since having to wear them for work I have grown to love and adore them. I guess it's my geeky side being drawn to them.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend, needless to say work at 9am this morning was a bit of a shocker!

Scorpio Princess

Hello again...

Gosh hasn't the temperature dropped today, there was me thinking I could now stop wearing my thick coats and opt for a slightly lighter leather jacket..but oh no.. the English weather has other ideas!

So these snaps were taken very quickly as the bf and I ran out to get some supplies shortly before we dived back into the flat to hibernate for the rest of the day. I decided to wear by scorpio-rising dress from urban outfitters, which I have loved from the very first moment I laid my eyes on it. It has such a lovely ethnic print which I think goes really well with the necklace I got of my brother for Xmas. I then paired it with my faithful grey skinny jeans, they are great because they are so skinny they look like leggings and so I can get away with wearing them under dresses. And as I already mentioned I made the mistake of wearing my leather jacket instead of something slightly warmer...but hey we are always sacrificing for fashion.

Jacket - Asos
Dress - UO
Jeans - 7forallmankind
Shoes - Converse
Bag - RiverIsland

Necklace - Gift (however I know it can be found in Topshop)

Have any of you braved the cold? Or are you all like me snuggled up in the house with a cuppa and a blanket?

Marc B and Asos Competition

Now I know you have all probably seen this competition on other blogs, however, I just couldn't resist entering, I mean you can win up to £250 who wouldn't say no! Plus I haven't done anything slightly arty/creative since college so I thought this competition to create an outfit choice using clothes from Asos and a bag from Marc B would be a little bit of fun!

As you all know I'm not the girliest of girls, so I made my outfit slightly edgy but kept a hint of feminism with a dungaree dress. I then styled my outfit with this literally 'awesome' beanie and some mega cool zig zag red socks, which paired with the Dr Martens I think will look great. Then obviously the piece de resistance was the new Darcy Black bag from Marc B.

Tie-Dye-Tastic

Hey Peepz...

So today has been a pretty lazy and unproductive day for me. It's not that I haven't attempted to do work....I mean I have tried to write some more of my dissertation but instead of writing I have mainly been staring at the same paragraph for the past couple of hours.

So I thought to try and get out of my writers block I would distract myself for a bit by sharing a quick outfit post with you all. Today I have decided to go for a slightly grungy look, I think it was mainly so I could wear comfy clothes whilst being lazy. I have been scanning the shops for ages to try and find a black jumper that would go with these tie dye leggings, I am one of those people that even though I know the leggings aren't see through I still need a top long enough to cover my bum. So after a long time of searching I finally found this jumper on Asos in the sale for £15!

Jumper - Asos
Leggings - Topshop
Boots - Topshop

I paired my outfit with my new Topshop Oxblood cut out boots, which actually haven't left my feet since buying them. They are so god damn comfy, I haven't even had to wear them in!

Necklace - \Urban Outfitters

Then to accessorise I wore my new aztec triangle necklace from Urban Outfitters, again another bargain at £6 and I decided to mix and match my earrings, to make my look even more quirky. I know the pictures below look slightly weird of my ears (it kind of makes me go cross eyed looking at both of them) however, I just wanted to show you what I was wearing in either ear.

Both earrings are from Topshop, one is a hoop and cross earrings and the other is a stud with an ear chain attached.

Hope you are all having a fab weekend :)

Love
