Bonjour, so as you may have guessed I am having a quiet Saturday night in!

The other half and I spent most of the day wondering around the amazingly graffiti-ed little streets of Shoreditch looking for some cute antiques for our new pad which we are due to hopefully move into in the next coming months. That's right I'm finally moving! After running out of space for all our stuff in our small one bed, we are hopefully due to move in the next couple of months, and I can't wait! And it's safe to say this excitement is manifesting itself on my Pinterest page, with rustic home interior pins becoming a very regular occurrence.

Now on to the important part of this post and not my ramblings. The outfit. So today was rediculously chilly, which meant one thing when it came to an outfit choice. Layers.

In today's outfit I am actually wearing not 2 but 4 layers; a vest top, light jumper, cardigan and then a leather jacket. And this still didn't stop the cold. My favourite piece within this ensemble is definitely my AllSaints cardigan, I have had it for 3 years now and it's still going strong. You can actually clip it at the front, giving it a nice drape effect, so very versatile.

How are you all managing to stay stylish but battle the cold?

SUNDAY BLUEZ

Jacket - Asos
Sweat - French Connection
Skirt - Asos
Necklace - Accessorize
Boots - Ella Cru

Another weekend over....how time flies when you want to keep having fun!

I received the skirt pictured above from my Ma and Pa for Christmas, as a new addition to my work wardrobe. I get a bit bored of wearing black everyday in the Offuce, even though it is my favourite colour and the most flattering, however, some colleagues are starting to think I am a bit of an emo, so I am making a conscious effort to add in a few splashes of colour.

Normally at work I would pair this skirt with a black sweatshirt to smarten it up, but for the weakened I thought I could add a casual touch with my trusty French Connection sweat. The perfect smart/cool ensemble.

Do any of you have an item of clothing you like to wear to work and out at the weekend?

Bloggers_love event with Nicola Crawford & Angel Armogida

So Thursday night I headed off to my first blogger event. I was kindly invited by Bloggers Love to their event at The Penthouse Leicester Square where Nicola Crawford and Angel Armogida were showcasing their new designs. It was a great night, with great tunes, drinks, manicures, cupcakes and some lovely company by lots of fellow bloggers.

As I had such a great night I thought I would show you all a few snaps that I took, sorry I don't have many but I was busy drinking and getting my nails done ;)

Above are some pictures of Nicola Crawford's jewellery designs. Her collection was gorgeous and each piece told a different story, there were three main themes to her collection, including: secret garden, lost words and with love. It would be hard for me to choose a favourite piece as they were all so beautiful but I would have to say I like the secret garden collection as it contained key pendants and ivy rings.

You can check out her collection here:

Sorry about the cringey photos of me, I just really loved my new shirt from Zara and wanted to show you all, plus there was an awesome view from The Penthouse but unfortunately we didn't quite manage to catch it in the background.

Above is Angel Armogida's new collection, she is an extremely talented designer who actually never studied fashion but just one day decided to start making dresses (I think we can safely say she made the right decision). All her dresses and evening gowns are hand made so you are definitely getting value for money, some of them are even Swaroski embellished. My favourites from her collection are the two black dresses above, being such a fan of black these were right up my street. The black sequin dress was actually raffled off and the proceeds went to Cancer Research.

You can see more of the collection here:

Overall I had a fab night, met some great people and saw some lovely new designs.
