WHISTLE (WHILE YOU WORK IT)

Whistles Leather Pumps
Grey Knit Cut Out Jumper - Urban Outfitters
Jeans - Topshop
Pumps - Whistles

For the past 21 days I have been taking part in the bikini body challenge which has taken social media by storm on Facebook, run by Michael Gray a personal trainer he has kindly released 3 weeks of diet plans and on a daily basis releases 15-20 mins of exercises you should do. I have found the whole experience really great, the sense of community and support on the group has been amazing. I didn't really have a lot of weight I wanted to lose but since starting work in an Office I have become a lot less active and so have put on a bit of weight consequently. So my main goal was to tone and lose a couple of inches off my waist. I am happy to say I have lost 3 pounds and 1.5 inches off my waist :). If any one wants to try it out you can find it here.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

TAKE ME TO A TEA PARTY

Jacket - Asos
Dress* - George at Asda
Belt - Asos
Shoes - Topshop
Necklace - Italian Boutique
I think with this outfit I was definitely ready for a tea party, I don't normally dress up very girly but this dress was just the right amount of girly with a nice grunge, and the best part, it was so cheap! I haven't shopped at Asda before and now that I have a few pieces from their catalogue I think I am definitely converted and would buy from there in the future. I paired my new dress with my trusty Asos leather jacket which I think just gets better with age and my peep toe leather boots.

From creating this look I definitely feel like going for some afternoon tea next weekend, does anyone have any recommendations?

SUNDAY BLUEZ

Jacket - Asos
Sweat - French Connection
Skirt - Asos
Necklace - Accessorize
Boots - Ella Cru

Another weekend over....how time flies when you want to keep having fun!

I received the skirt pictured above from my Ma and Pa for Christmas, as a new addition to my work wardrobe. I get a bit bored of wearing black everyday in the Offuce, even though it is my favourite colour and the most flattering, however, some colleagues are starting to think I am a bit of an emo, so I am making a conscious effort to add in a few splashes of colour.

Normally at work I would pair this skirt with a black sweatshirt to smarten it up, but for the weakened I thought I could add a casual touch with my trusty French Connection sweat. The perfect smart/cool ensemble.

Do any of you have an item of clothing you like to wear to work and out at the weekend?

PLAYING FESTIVAL DRESS UP

All clothing - Topshop
Cross Necklace - Italian Boutique

While Justin Timberlake did his thang this weekend at V Fest, I decided to pretend I was there by turning up 'cry me a river' (but not quite stalking a Britney lookalike) and dressing up in the only things in my wardrobe that I thought resembled a bit of a festival get up. Obviously, I would probably need to go more 'Hunter' than 'peep toe' if I was actually there, but considering I wasn't, *sigh*, I could indulge in such fashion luxuries as heels.

Did anyone head to 'V' this weekend? What were your fashion must haves?

THE INDIANA TO MY JONES

Hat - Topshop
Dress - H&M
Necklace - Italian Boutique
Heeled Sandals - Primark

Unfortunately, I don't have anything that interesting to share with you all this week as I injured by back bowling and so I have been confined to my sofa for the majority of the weekend...and yes I know, how can someone actually pull a muscle in their back bowling, well apparently they can when a game between work colleagues gets a little bit competitive!

But I did manage to put on a brave face and head to Oxford Street for an hour on Sunday, I couldn't physically try on clothes but I did manage to wonder around the accessories section in Topshop, which is where I found this beauty of a hat. I have never been a big fan of hats, whereas my Dad on the other hand has them as his number one accessory, he has a collection that even I, a non-hat enthusiast is jealous of! But I have to say when I tried on this hat not only did it fit like a glove, but it actually suited me, so naturally I couldn't resist and headed to the checkout.

You never know this could be the start of my very own (Dad inspired) hat collection...

OH HEY CROCHET

Where did the weekend go? I think I had one of those weekends where you plan so much into your days that the weekend is gone in the blink of on eye. Needless to say I am already counting down the days till I get to see my bed again next weekend.

However, in between the Shoreditch camper van partying and the sunny hours spent in Brighton, I did manage to take a few blog pictures. I picked up these floral beauties from Topshop, they are so comfy and lightweight that they are perfect for the summer heat. I then paired it with my crochet top because to be honest, who doesn't love crochet? Then to top it all off the piece de resistance, my bargain Primark heeled sandals. The perfect outfit for a chilled Sunday afternoon...

MinkPink Maxi Magic

Vest Top - H&M
Skirt - Urban Outfitters
Sandals - Primark
Ring/Bracelet - Topshop (old)
Belt - Urban Outfitters Vintage

I have recently got back from a short holiday in Italy, visiting such beautiful places as Florence and Sienna and eating far too much pizza! But I have to say the weather has been way more impressive in London, Without a clue as to how hot the weather has actually been I unwisely went out in jeans to go shopping. This ended up being a big mistake because as the heatwave hit it's peak (30 degrees) I had the urge to loose the layers quickly and with debit card in hand I hit Urban Outfitters in search of skirt sanctuary. And unfortunately for my bank balance they didn't disappoint.

This beautiful floral MinkPink maxi-skirt, with what I like to think has Geisha inspired slits down the sides is just stunning, it's perfect for relaxing in the park or teamed with high heeled sandals (such as above) could be worn for drinks out with the girls/fella. It also allows for a nice breeze, perfect for an unexpected British heatwave.

What is your favourite go to piece for the great British sunshine?

Fix up look sharp

Dress - Reworked vintage from Urban Outfitters
Belt - Asos
Boots - River Island
Necklace - Vintage

Nothing can beat a good bit of tartan, my boyfriend's has Scottish roots so I guess I have an excuse for my obsession with this amazing fabric. If I could where tartan day in day out I would, and I do give it a pretty good try! It's one of the only prints that actually makes my pale skin look some what attractive.

Also since working I have now discovered my love of collared clothing, whether it is jumpers, t-shirts or dresses, you name it if it has a collar I will wear it. I always thought that collared items didn't suit me, but since having to wear them for work I have grown to love and adore them. I guess it's my geeky side being drawn to them.

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend, needless to say work at 9am this morning was a bit of a shocker!

SIMPLES

I have spent most of this week trying to catch up on sleep but unfortunately the Sainsbury's that is currently being built below our building is ruining my sleeping plans. I'm sure it will be great and extremely convenient once it's built (...midnight choccies in my PJs) but for now I would quite like to be able to lie in past 8am!

Consequentially due to my lack of sleep, in the fashion department I am opting for very laid-back outfits that don't take a lot of effort or prep. It turned out that my lovely new Zara trousers fitted my needs perfectly and they still managed to make me look half presentable. I paired my trousers with a black cami I brought ages ago from Urban Outfitters before camis were even a massive trend, it just turned out to be a bonus that they are now extremely in fashion.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, needless to say I am very much looking forward to tomorrow morning as no building work takes place on a Sunday!! :)
