Happy Valentines Everybody!

Now I'm not one to get all wrapped up in the 'love-doviness' of Valentines Day but I thought I should do something a little bit special for the occasion.

So here is a quick and simple nail art design for all of those people who want to embrace the joys of V-day but in a slightly subtler way.

It's electrifying!

Hey Guys...

Just a quick post today as I'm feeling pretty tired from my eventful Halloween night and then a full day of lectures! So due to my lack of sleep I decided that it would be much more productive to paint my nails. So here is my quick and simple design...

This design was created using Models Own 'Mystic Mauve' for the base and then to do the lightning bolt on the one finger I used Models Own black nail art pen. I have to say I love how metallic and shiny the base coat colour is,this picture doesn't really do it justice (again I apologise for poor lighting) but in person it's a stunning colour.

And just in case you wanted to see what me and my flat mate went as for Halloween, here is a sneaky peek...(bet you can't guess who I am ;) )

I hope you all had a fun filled spooky night :)

Circus Comes to Town!

Just a quick post today....

I wanted to show you all my circus inspired nails. Quite a simple design but I always think some of the more simpler ones are the most effective.

To create this design first use a white base coat and then layer on top various sized black triangles with a nail art pen. I used a models own nail art pen for this. And then a vola, it is literally that simple! Perfect if you need something quick but still funky for a night out.

What are some of your favourite nail art designs?

Swirly Nail Art

Hey guys,

Just a quick post today as I have been super busy planning my little adventure across Europe. So far the boyfriend and I have planned a route from Italy, through Germany and Belgium and then back home to not so sunny England. I go away on the 17th July and I cannot wait, literally counting down the minutes! And of course I will definitely be blogging a long the way to keep you all up to date on my travels.

Anyway, just thought I would show you all how I painted my nails today. This black and white swirly nail art design was actually inspired from the wall paper in my room of all places and it is so easy to replicate, all you need is some black nail varnish as a base coat and a white nail art pen to do the swirly detail.

So what do you all think?

Hope you have all had a great start to the week? Do any of you have any exciting holidays planned?

Jubilee nail art!

Hello lovelies,

It's the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this weekend (yay 4 day weekend), 60 years of her reign, I think that is pretty impressive! I thought I would show my patriotism through the use of nail art. I wanted to put a slight spin on the typical red, white and blue union jack, so instead I went for pastel colours, which consisted of a pastel blue (blue moon Barry M), a light pink (urban princess Rimmel) and white (models own nail art pen). What do you all think?

From left to right: Rimmel 291 urban princess, Models Own nail art pen in white and Barry M blue moon.
Also in this picture I am sure you couldn't help but notice my quirky new camera ring, which I actually won on kukee's blog a couple of weeks ago. I was so excited it was the first time I have won a competition on these blogs. Anyway kukee has lots of other fab pieces of jewellery at great prices so head on over to her blog to have a browse.

So what are you guys up to this Jubilee weekend? Anyway having any parties?

Aztec inspired nails

Hey guys,

So guess what....I have actually some how managed to DELETE ALL OF MY COMMENTS!! I cannot believe it, all of your nice words have vanished. Oh well I guess I live and learn from my mistakes.

Anyway continuing on with the post, I recently purchased some models own nail art pens a couple of days ago and I have been waiting to try them out. I felt my nail varnish was getting a bit boring so I thought I would try out something a bit more experimental and because I love Aztec print so much, I thought I would try and put it on my nails. So here goes nothing....

What do you guys think?? Kind of a work in progress but I was pretty pleased for my first attempt.

This is what I used to create the look:

Nail Art Pen - Models Own
Nail Varnish - Barry M Peach Melba

And here is where I got my inspiration from:

Sorry again for the comment deleting incident I will promise to be more careful next time :).

Hope you all had a great bank holiday!
