Top 5 Kilajewel pieces & 10% discount code!

Hey guys...

So my little baby that is my online jewellery shop (KilaJewel) is now coming up to its 5 month birthday! And in honour of it being 5 months since its opening I thought I would share with you 5 of my favourite pieces:

(From top left to bottom right)

All of these pieces I think would add that little extra 'pizzazz' to an outfit and I'm actually going to be rocking the fashion choker this bank holiday weekend, when I head out for a much needed night on the town.

Also as another little present I am giving all my lovely followers an Easter Weekend discount code that gives you 10% OFF EVERYTHING!

All you have to do is enter JEWEL10 at the checkout.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, and make sure you snap this deal up as it expires on Monday at 12pm.

Wish List of the Week

Hello everyone,

Sorry I have been lacking on the posts recently, I have been busy organising a surprise 21st birthday party for my boyfriend, which turned out to be not such a surprise in the end! Apparently the fact I was applying fake tan and buying shoes and generally making more effort than normal, meant a big event was going down.

Anyway here is what I have been lusting after this week. I know all these picks aren't full of the most summery of colours but for some reason I am always drawn to blacks and greys. Also I am in love with anything that flows at the moment, especially things that I can twirl and prance around in and I think these picks are perfect for that. Generally, I just want to enjoy wearing a skirt/dress rather than jeans which I can be found wearing most days.

Spike Necklace - Topshop
Chain shoulder tunic - Topshop
Maxi - River Island
Dress - Miss Selfridge
Belt - Topshop
Black Mesh Wedges - River Island
What do you guys think to my wish list? Is there anything you are lusting after this week?

Wish List of the Week!

Hey everyone,

So I have three exams down and only one to go....I am counting the hours till Monday at precisely 1pm and then I am heading straight to a pub to get a well deserved cider (I'm a country girl you see so us folk like our ciders). I have to say it has been kind of depressing just staring at the sunshine from the desk in my room, I can feel myself getting paler by the minute and apparently the other day it was 29 degrees!

Anyway just a quick post today, thought I would show you some of the cheeky things that keep managing to distract me from revision. I can tell you once Monday arrives my credit isn't going to know what's hit it :)

Maxi sheer skirt - missselfridge
Grey T-shirt -  topshop
Cascade Necklace - missselfridge
Shopper - zara
Beaded Crop - topshop
What do you think? What do you have on your summer wishlist?

Print obsession....I think so!

Hey guys,

Well I had a great weekend in Cardiff, I was persuaded to watch the Avengers in 3D by the boyfriend and I was pleasantly surprised, I thought it was going to be one of those really boyish films (you know the geeky comic superhero kind) but it turned out to be really good. Sadly it had to end and now I'm back in London stuck in the flat revising morning till night (it's such an exciting life I lead). But I couldn't keep myself away from my blog and I have been dying to show you all my new top from urban outfitters, I had my eye on a similar MinkPink one but I managed to find this instead and they are almost identical except this one is half the price! So what's not to love! I decided to pair it with my black skater skirt from Topshop and some black suede wedge boots (thankfully it has finally been sunny enough for me to wear them). So what do you all think?

Top - Urbanoutfitter
Skirt - Topshop
Earring - River Island
Necklace - Topshop

Necklace - Topshop
Quick close up of the fabric, I love the vibrancy of the colours and they even managed to squeeze in some paisley patterns, so I am definitely bang on trend :).

Oh and I have come the conclusion that at the moment I cannot get enough of printed fabrics, I have counted atleast 20 items in my wardrobe that are printed and now I have another one to add to my collection. I'm wondering whether it is now verging on obsession?!?

Topshop Jewellery

Hello everyone,

So instead of doing work I have just got back from a major expedition to the MASSIVE Topshop on Oxford Street, thought it would be best to go during the week as I have tried weekends and let me warn you it can get messy, far too many people in a confined space. Anyway, the main thing that caught my eye on this particular occasion was the jewellery collection...it was beautiful. I think I circled this particular section of the shop for at least an hour before I decided on three special pieces which I would actually purchase (believe me it was a tough decision). But anyway here are the three winners:

1) Cross Drop Hoops - These were really a no brainer because I have been searching for a pair of cross earrings that look like Rihanna's from her music video 'we found love' for ages. They have a feminine feel with a slight gothic edge which I love and they are very light weight, so are extremely comfortable to wear. In addition to this they can be purchased for the bargain price of £5, so what reasons do you have not to buy these?

2) Stud Ear Cuff - I have seen quite a few of these around and they looked really interesting so I thought I would finally give them a try. Once I got home I couldn't wait to try them out and well I will let you decide from the pictures but I thought they looked pretty cool. You can get an extra piercing without the pain, what is not to love. Some of you might be wondering whether the clip hurts at the top of your ear but let me assure you it doesn't at all, it is tight enough so it stays in place but not too tight that it hurts. These cost me £12 but one thing I would point out is that I think they would look best with a contrasting earring, so possibly only wear one and then a different earring in the other ear. So if you have a friend who wants some too, you could possibly split the pair and have one each. I opted for a simple looking cuff as this was my experimental buy but now I have seen how amazing they look I will definitely be going back to try some of the more adventurous pairs.

3) Pagan Wrist Wear to Ring - This piece called my name straight away as I am always one for the bling. But it also looked very unique and I love how the bracelet and ring have been combined into one. At first I thought it might be quite uncomfortable to wear but I have been wearing it for the rest of the day and it seems fine. I think this is definitely the sort of accessory you would wear to top of the perfect evening outfit, for me personally I wouldn't wear any other jewellery with this piece because something as gorgeous as this deserves to be the centre of attention. And at £14 I think this is a complete steal.

So I would definitely recommend getting down to Topshop fast to snap up some of the best jewellery I have seen for a while.

Till next time...
