Mix and Match

Hey guys,

So I am back off holiday sooner than expected but I still have some fab pictures to show you. But before that I wanted to show you all one of my outfits I put together recently.

I decided to try mixing up some prints as I have seen that a lot of designers are doing it at the moment. It has always been something I have wanted to experiment with but have never been brave enough, I normally always pick things that I know will definitely go together. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. I mixed a grey snake skin print playsuit with a vintage striped shirt, what do you all think to the outcome?

Playsuit - Topshop (very old)
Shirt - Vintage
Trainer - Converse
Necklace - Topshop

I have also noticed that I seem to have a slight obsession with my converses, I seem to be wearing them in far to many of my outfit posts, think I need to invest in a few more pairs of shoes. Ah well I think I can cope with a little shoe shopping spree :)

Hope you are all having a great start to the week...

Print obsession....I think so!

Hey guys,

Well I had a great weekend in Cardiff, I was persuaded to watch the Avengers in 3D by the boyfriend and I was pleasantly surprised, I thought it was going to be one of those really boyish films (you know the geeky comic superhero kind) but it turned out to be really good. Sadly it had to end and now I'm back in London stuck in the flat revising morning till night (it's such an exciting life I lead). But I couldn't keep myself away from my blog and I have been dying to show you all my new top from urban outfitters, I had my eye on a similar MinkPink one but I managed to find this instead and they are almost identical except this one is half the price! So what's not to love! I decided to pair it with my black skater skirt from Topshop and some black suede wedge boots (thankfully it has finally been sunny enough for me to wear them). So what do you all think?

Top - Urbanoutfitter
Skirt - Topshop
Earring - River Island
Necklace - Topshop

Necklace - Topshop
Quick close up of the fabric, I love the vibrancy of the colours and they even managed to squeeze in some paisley patterns, so I am definitely bang on trend :).

Oh and I have come the conclusion that at the moment I cannot get enough of printed fabrics, I have counted atleast 20 items in my wardrobe that are printed and now I have another one to add to my collection. I'm wondering whether it is now verging on obsession?!?

LFW: Prints & Patterns

Hello everyone,

So it's finally the weekend and after what I think has definitely been a long a stressful week due to essay deadlines I cannot wait to destress at London Fashion Weekend :). Well it's just a quick post today as I happened to be browsing through some of the collections at London Fashion Week and thought you guys might like to have a look at Peter Pilotto's Spring collection. His designs are amazing and caught my eye straight away, the vibrant colours, prints and patterns create a stunning mixture which are sure to make you the centre of attention. Each outfit is a work of art and his attention to detail is incredible. Below are some of my favourites...

I especially liked this look below as I love how the colours work together and the pattern is very slimming in all the right places, which is never a bad thing. It also captures the sporty feel which is all the rage now, so if you like this look as much as me, here is how to 'get the look'.

Black long sleeve top - new look £5.99, black leather skinny belt - uponabelt.com £28, shoes - topshop £65, dress - asos £55.
Do any of you have a favourite collection from London Fashion Week? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Till next time..
