My Life Savers

Hello everyone...

So this week I wanted to try something different and show you all a bit more about me and how I style myself. I thought a fun way to do this would be by doing a post on my Top 5 Life Saver beauty products. These are some of the products that make me look a least a little bit respectable before I leave the house. (Who knows if you guys like it it might become a regular thing)

Here is a run through of my Top 5:

1. Johnson's Baby Lotion for me is definitely the best and most versatile moisturiser out there. My Mum swears by it and even says that she thinks it's the reason her skin has stayed so youthful, if anything this comment has made me plaster the stuff on because when I hit her age I want to look that damn good. But seriously this stuff is great, I use it on my face, hands and body and it has always given me long lasting moisture.

2. I started using Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation about a year ago when I found so many positive reviews circulating the blogosphere. I have always suffered from break outs and so for me I was instantly attracted to the use of natural ingredients such as apricot extract because the more natural the better for my skin. Anyway, after about a month of using it I really started to notice that my skin was clearing up and that I didn't need to cake my face in as much foundation anymore to hide my break outs. The foundation also left me with a healthy looking glow which I loved because it made my skin look slightly more alive for those dreaded 9am lectures!

3. Got2b Powderful was actually introduced to me by one of my local hairdressers, she was surprisingly nice and recommended a cheap brand I could buy from Boots rather than one of their own really expensive brands. I have to say this volumising powder has transformed my life. I have always longed for big and full hair, especially for nights out and this powder does exactly that. You just scrunch it in at the roots and it gives the illusion of back combing but without the damage that backcombing can do to your hair.

4. I am a massive fan of nail art, after studying art at school and college I am a keen fan of expressing your creativity and what better way than on your nails for the whole world to see. For anyone who wants to create some really detailed nail art the Models Own nail art pens are a must.

5. I purchased the Kick Ass Concealer by Soap & Glory a couple of months a go and I have to say I haven't as of yet found a better concealer, especially for those pesky bags under your eyes! It has 3 steps to it, there are two different soft cream concealers which work together to hide redness and dark circles and then there is a powder to set it all into place. I cannot rave about this product anymore, it really is 'Kick Ass' it hides dark circles, blemishes and redness and it holds for most of the day, it is very rare that I have to reapply.

What do you think to my Top 5 Life Savers? Is there anything you would add to this list?

So the temperature has been dropping day by day here, I'm sure it even it the minus' at one point! And what I have learnt from this weather is that a big knit is your new best friend. In addition to giving you that extra layer of warmth they are also the coziest things in the world to wear. At the moment I have been wearing mine over dresses (such as the outfit above) and shirts, as well as tucking then into skirts and my beloved disco pants, they are the ultimate piece of versatility in your wardrobe.

As I am writing this my flatmates and I are preparing for a birthday house party (the oldy of our group has just turned 22 today) and so I should probably move away from the computer start glaming myself up abit, although been as it's our flat I'm sure I can get away with keeping my slippers on :)

Hope you are all having a fab weekend...

Firmoo Review

Hey Guys...

Sorry about the lack of posts but I have been busy trying to sort out some form of employment for when I graduate, so this week I have been busy with applications and interviews. (Some interview outfit posts to come) Anyway on with my orginal post.

I was contacted a few weeks a go by Firmoo, an online shop for glasses & sunglasses, the range is great and I love the shape of a lot of the frames. Here are the frames I chose to review...

And if being great value is not enough for you, you can also join the First Pair Free Programme where you only have to pay for shipping, can you really get any better value for money than that! (http://www.firmoo.com/free-glasses.html)

So check them out, you won't be disappointed :)
