THE BOYFRIEND SHIRT

Leather Jacket - ASOS
Shirt - Whistles
Jeans - ASOS
Shoes - Whistles
Bag - Ted Baker

You may or may not have noticed but the quality of the pictures in the post are (I would say anyway) a lot better than in my previous posts. A big thank you for that goes to my new Olympus Pen EPL7 and the 45mm lens. I have never been a person to fall in love with gadgets but this camera is definitely my latest obsession and has transformed blogging on the go for me. The only thing I need to master now is a full outfit shot with the 45mm lens to achieve a blurry background, hopefully next week's post I will have achieved it! It anyone has any pointers please let me know.

These pictures were taken the day after my first 10k race ever, I am pleased to say I made it all the way to the end of the race in one piece and didn't walk once, I promise. I just wanted to share with you all my latest investment this Whistles boyfriend shirt, it has such a slouchy but perfectly tailored fit that I fell in love with it instantly, as it hung at the back of the shop calling my name. It is perfect for work with a pair of black skinny jeans and heels but you can also dress it down with ripped jeans and trainers as above.

JUST AS LONG AS I GOT MY SUIT & TIE

Blazer - Allsaints sale / T-shirt - Allsaints / Jeans - Zara / Boots - Kurt Geiger / Necklace - Topshop

The weather has been a bit hit and miss recently, so whenever I have ventured out the house I have had to prepare for every eventuality, hence the blazer. It's the perfect lightweight layer and is made of a silky fabric so it actually stays quite cool but is still perfect if the heavens decide to suddenly open. Plus, this outfit just makes you want to sing JT's 'suit and tie' song so what's not to love!

I have also had a rather busy week at work so I have really enjoyed just relaxing this weekend and taking a bit of 'me' time, in addition, to trying my best to run above 5k as my 10k charity run is fast approaching and 5k just seems to be my runners wall. Although I am happy to let you know I have hit 6k, aiming for 7 by the end of next week.

DENIM IS A WAY OF LIFE

Whistles dress, french connection shoes, casual sunny day look

With the weather in London hitting 25 degrees most days this dress is perfect for keeping you cool and hides any unwanted food babies caused by too much ice cream and picnics in the park. The sandals were also bought in the French Connection sale, they were comfy from the moment they touched my feet and go perfectly with dresses, skirts and jeans.

Dress - Whistles
Sandals - French Connection
Necklace - Italian Boutique

This weekend with the weather being so nice I have had a much needed catch up in the sun with friends and family. Drank a bit too much vino on Friday in an amazing local bar where the band did some great covers of Ed Sheeran (felt like I was almost at a concert) and my Brother came down to stay who I haven't seen in over a month. So all in all, my weekend has been full of embracing denim, enjoying friendships and having fun in the British weather.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

WHISTLE (WHILE YOU WORK IT)

Whistles Leather Pumps
Grey Knit Cut Out Jumper - Urban Outfitters
Jeans - Topshop
Pumps - Whistles

For the past 21 days I have been taking part in the bikini body challenge which has taken social media by storm on Facebook, run by Michael Gray a personal trainer he has kindly released 3 weeks of diet plans and on a daily basis releases 15-20 mins of exercises you should do. I have found the whole experience really great, the sense of community and support on the group has been amazing. I didn't really have a lot of weight I wanted to lose but since starting work in an Office I have become a lot less active and so have put on a bit of weight consequently. So my main goal was to tone and lose a couple of inches off my waist. I am happy to say I have lost 3 pounds and 1.5 inches off my waist :). If any one wants to try it out you can find it here.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

BLUES BROTHERS

Coat - George at Asda*
Tunic - George at Asda*
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Ella Cru
Bag - Ted Baker
Necklace - Urban Outfitters
I love boyfriend coats at the moment, I think they are very flattering and help smarten up any outfit. So when I saw this blue one available at George at Asda I jumped at the chance and you know me I don't wear tend to wear anything that isn't on the grey or black spectrum so this coat is great for adding a hint of colour to my shades of grey outfits.

Plus as I'm currently saving for furniture at the moment for the new flat, which is proving to be ridiculously expensive, the reasonable price point of George's ranges is proofing to be a welcome relief to my bank balance! I should hopefully be moving in in the next couple of months, so will keep you posted on my interior decor adventures.

TAKE ME TO A TEA PARTY

Jacket - Asos
Dress* - George at Asda
Belt - Asos
Shoes - Topshop
Necklace - Italian Boutique
I think with this outfit I was definitely ready for a tea party, I don't normally dress up very girly but this dress was just the right amount of girly with a nice grunge, and the best part, it was so cheap! I haven't shopped at Asda before and now that I have a few pieces from their catalogue I think I am definitely converted and would buy from there in the future. I paired my new dress with my trusty Asos leather jacket which I think just gets better with age and my peep toe leather boots.

From creating this look I definitely feel like going for some afternoon tea next weekend, does anyone have any recommendations?

LAYERS & LAYERS & MORE LAYERS...

Jacket - Asos
Jumper - Vintage
Cardigan - AllSaints
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Topshop
Bag - Ted Baker
Scarf - Topshop
Bonjour, so as you may have guessed I am having a quiet Saturday night in!

The other half and I spent most of the day wondering around the amazingly graffiti-ed little streets of Shoreditch looking for some cute antiques for our new pad which we are due to hopefully move into in the next coming months. That's right I'm finally moving! After running out of space for all our stuff in our small one bed, we are hopefully due to move in the next couple of months, and I can't wait! And it's safe to say this excitement is manifesting itself on my Pinterest page, with rustic home interior pins becoming a very regular occurrence.

Now on to the important part of this post and not my ramblings. The outfit. So today was rediculously chilly, which meant one thing when it came to an outfit choice. Layers.

In today's outfit I am actually wearing not 2 but 4 layers; a vest top, light jumper, cardigan and then a leather jacket. And this still didn't stop the cold. My favourite piece within this ensemble is definitely my AllSaints cardigan, I have had it for 3 years now and it's still going strong. You can actually clip it at the front, giving it a nice drape effect, so very versatile.

How are you all managing to stay stylish but battle the cold?

SUNDAY BLUEZ

Jacket - Asos
Sweat - French Connection
Skirt - Asos
Necklace - Accessorize
Boots - Ella Cru

Another weekend over....how time flies when you want to keep having fun!

I received the skirt pictured above from my Ma and Pa for Christmas, as a new addition to my work wardrobe. I get a bit bored of wearing black everyday in the Offuce, even though it is my favourite colour and the most flattering, however, some colleagues are starting to think I am a bit of an emo, so I am making a conscious effort to add in a few splashes of colour.

Normally at work I would pair this skirt with a black sweatshirt to smarten it up, but for the weakened I thought I could add a casual touch with my trusty French Connection sweat. The perfect smart/cool ensemble.

Do any of you have an item of clothing you like to wear to work and out at the weekend?

SPORTING A NEW LOOK

Jumper - French Connection
Coat - AllSaints
Jeans - Topshop
Trainers - Nike
Bag - Ted Baker
Necklace - Banana Republic
I don't know about any of you but January has been a very busy time at work and has sadly stopped me blogging for a while. But I'm finally back and with a brand new blog layout too, let me know what you think about it. I'm still learning how to code a few more of the sections but I definitely think it is a huge improvement.

So as well as the new look of my blog, I feel like my style has taken a slight turn, maybe a bit behind the trend but I have finally invested in a pair of Nike trainers that aren't just for the gym, I have to say they have revolutionised my life, especially in London where you do sooo much walking!

I went for a sports luxe look on Saturday, pairing my Nike trainers with my French Connection sweater, the perfect lazy outfit for roaming around London flat hunting, some exciting news to share shortly, but don't want to share too prematurely...

Hope you all had a fab weekend!
