Hippy

Hello...

We had yet another sunny day in Shropshire and so I thought that this would be the day that I braved going tightless! I had to say I think I was slightly hasty and so about a few minutes after this little blog shoot I ran back inside to grab them (I know I'm what's known as a fashion wimp!)

Anyway, so in today's outfit I was trying to pull off a hippy/bohemian look. I love anything that has a bit of an ethnic vibe to it, which I think this top has heaps of, plus I am a bit of a big kid and couldn't resist the wizard like sleeves.

I paired the top with my Urban Outfitter remade shorts and my Topshop clog like sandals, which I have to say are one of the comfiest pairs I own. I then assessorised with my Mum's hand me down ethnic chunky necklace and some simple ear bling and hey presto you out the outfit below.

I guess I had best get back to some revision, although blogging is such a great distraction!
Good luck to anyone else who is doing revision/taking exams.

Floral Dress

Hellooo...

The weather has been beautiful today so much so that the boyfriend and I rushed to Tesco's to get some stuff to have a BBQ with before the sun disappeared. I was trying to be healthy and opted for chicken and prawn kebabs. However, I still don't think they are quite as good as the old sausages and a burger.

Today I decided to wear this lovely floral dress from Topshop, that had unfortunately shrunk in the wash so it definitely wasn't to be warn outside of the garden! I then paired it with my studded belt and my black knee high socks as I never want to look too cute, people already say I have a baby face, so I have to try my hardest not to look like a cute little girl! I guess when I reach 30 and are still being ID'd I will be thankful for my youthful looks.

A little French Inspiration

Hey everyone...

Just a quick post today as I have stacks of revision that I should be doing, however, I handed my dissertation in on Monday, so yayyy one thing out the way!

As the sun was out today I thought I would finally get my pasty legs out and actually put on a dress, I decided to try and make my dress a little bit edgier as I'm not the girliest of girls, so I layered my stripey top over it. I actually think the final look has a certain french je ne sais quoi about it.

I then added a studded belt and my beloved £10 bargain Topshop boots and hey presto the outfit was complete.

Laid back Look

Hello,

Sorry I have been a bit MIA at the moment, what with exams, my dissertation and trying to find a job for when I graduate I'm not left with a lot of time to dedicate to my blog, which I hate because this is definitely the more fun option.

However, today I actually had time to go out for dinner and so decided to dress up a bit, as I have mainly been living in either my PJ's or sweatpants (I know not the most stylish of options but I guess that's a students life during revision). Well as you can tell I'm not a really fancy dress up kind of person, I much prefer the laid back stylish approach, you know the 'I just threw it on' look but still look super cool (well that's what I'm trying for anyway, whether I pulled it off is for you guys to decide :) )

I paired my Topshop slouchy maroon t-shirt, with a very old Topshop waistcoat, that I have found a new love for. I then threw on my pair of wet look black jeans, that are so great for comfort/style and then topped the look off with my oxblood cut out boots (again Topshop, I do think I need to start shopping somewhere else, I'm getting slightly predictable!).

My arm candy consisted of a gem/glass bracelet that used to belong to my nan, a sliver bangle that actually came from a gift shop of a museum when I was younger (you know the gift shops where on school trips as a kid you would always end up buying some funky shaped rubber from) and then the ring is from UO.

Do any of you like a stylish laid back look for going out?

May Wishlist

Hey everyone,

Just a quick little one today to show you all what I am lusting over this May. I'm still on a spending ban so unfortunately it's a bit of window shopping for me :( Ahh but a girl can dream!
